Inside DEEP Robotics: China’s Industrial Quadruped and Embodied AI Leader
Hangzhou — I recently visited the DEEP Robotics exhibition hall. All photos in this article were taken by me on-site.
As a pioneer in embodied intelligence and legged robotics, DEEP Robotics has earned global recognition for its industrial-grade quadruped robots, wheel-legged hybrid systems, and humanoid platforms. During my visit, I experienced firsthand the company’s full-scenario industrial solutions and cutting-edge products — including the agile Jueying Lite3 quadruped robot displayed in the showroom.
Company Overview
Founded in 2017 and headquartered in Hangzhou, DEEP Robotics is a national high-tech enterprise specializing in the R&D, manufacturing, and global deployment of legged robots, humanoid robots, and core components.
The company has built a full-stack technology system spanning perception, decision-making, and execution. Its research has been featured on the cover of Science Robotics, and it holds over 100 authorized patents. DEEP’s solutions have been deployed in more than 600 industry scenarios across 44 countries and regions.
DEEP Robotics was the first company in China to achieve fully autonomous quadruped robot inspections at power substations and launched the world’s first emergency response and firefighting robot solution. Its robots have been deployed in critical infrastructure projects including the Asian Games tunnel project, Singapore’s national power grid, thermal power plants, mining sites, and various emergency rescue exercises across China.
